  Incense Burners Tips & Tricks:

  1. You can clean the Incense residue off of the metal clip with a little bit of rubbing alcohol.
If you really put cleaning it off, soaking it for awhile makes it easier.

  2. You need to periodicly dump the ashes out of the bottle. This is especially true if there are        ashes blocking the vent hole. Keep this in mind if the Incense will not stay lit.

  3. For goodness sake, use good quality incense.

  4. Try to make sure that the burning tip of the Incense stick does not touch the inside of the        bottle.

  5. Sometimes it will be necessary to shorten the non-coated end of the Incense stick so that
the burning end of the stick does not touch the bottom of the bottle.

  Kokopelli Tips & Tricks:

  1. If your Kokopelli is in the garden (as most of them are), a sunny spot where it will reflect
the sun and stay dry is best.

  2. Hose the dirt off that splashes up from the soil periodicly so that your Koko stays clean.

  3. Your Kokopelli can be kept very fresh looking and will last many more years if at least
once a year you wash it well with a small amount of warm soapy water, dry completely
(hot sun works well... think summer), and then apply a good coat of Krylon clear spray       paint. Do not use any of the H2O based latex spray paints. Depending on the Koko's
location, you can spray several moderatly "wet" (click here for a brief simple tutorial on
spray painting) coats of either Clear Gloss or Satin depending which finish you prefer.       Krylon also makes a "Triple Thick Glaze" that you can use but if you are a spray newbie,       paint runs may be in your future.
Many times, this procedure can be done with the Koko in place by simply putting a few       piece's of newspaper on the ground to protect the earth. And of course, as common sense       would dictate, make sure there is little or no wind. Please also protect any plants with a
tarp or whatever if they are in the immediate vacinity. Recoating a Koko in a sunny 70 to
80 degree environment can be done with only 5 to 10 minutes between coats as the clear
"flashs" (tacks up) farly quickly... unless of course you have got runs going....

  Flowerpot Tips & Tricks:

  1. While all of my flowerpots are coated with POR-15 on the outside, then colored and       cleared, I prefer to not use a coating on the inside for the health of the plant. So the inside
of the steel flowerpots will develop a light patina of rust over time depending on the quality       of the drainage.
Never has bothered any of my plants so far. I recommend using a well       draining soil. It also helps if you use a liner of some sort.
